Maggie is the daughter of Peter and Susan Powell Fahey and has been on stage since her debut at Headliners Performing Arts competition at 2 ½ and Canton Players Guild at 4. In addition to dance and singing at the Powell Dance-Sing Center, she has taken modern dance from Stephanie Kibler of KDA and ballet technique from Russian ballerina Natalia as well as Jeanne Morehart Mahaffey. She also has taken voice/piano instruction from H. Michael Canestraro and currently studies with Songbird Studios.
Maggie has won numerous high score awards in voice, hip hop-jazz and modern dance from Headliners Performing Arts, Showstoppers Talent, Encore Talent and Access Broadway. Most recently Maggie received unanimous superior scores with Songbird Studios/National Federation of Music Clubs at Kent State University.
Maggie has been seen on stage at the Canton Players Guild, Firehouse Theatre, Shining Starz productions and numerous Powell Dance-Sing shows. Maggie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in music education and voice performance from Ohio University and her Master of Music Education degree from DePaul University Chicago. Maggie taught music education (K-8) at Skinner North in Chicago for five years and is now an adjunct professor of music at DePaul University. Maggie is a regular guest instructor at Powell Dance and Singing Center.
